Welcome to the About Me page!Like I mentioned on the title page, I go by Briar, I’m twenty-three, and I’m in the CST time zone.I’ve tried to include as much as I could think of under each category, but if I missed anything at all, please don’t hesitate to ask—I’m always happy to chat. Truly. I’m a certified yapper, and I will absolutely take the opportunity ♡

Length :Again, I am a yapper. I adore character studies, getting lost in worlds, and layering in as much detail as I can. My responses usually range anywhere from six hundred to over two thousand words—starters tend to be on the longer side, while day-to-day replies can vary depending on inspiration. And when inspiration hits, it really hits… so expect the occasional longer response when I’m especially invested.Type of Writing :Most of my characters are women—headstrong, deeply flawed complex women who make questionable choices and feel things a little too deeply. I am working on widening my experience with doubling; I’ve done it a few times, but not quite enough yet to confidently advertise myself as someone who can juggle multiple main characters (outside of side characters).I tend to stay within the romance genre, though I’m always open to trying new things. The only genre I tend to avoid is sci-fi—it’s just never quite clicked for me. I gravitate toward historical settings (which I love researching so we can keep things immersive while still having fun), modern settings, high and low fantasy, mystery, and supernatural elements. My interests shift in waves, but there’s almost always an undercurrent of emotion—often a little heavier, a little more aching, where love doesn’t always come easy.My writing blends action with internal emotion, often weaving in a character’s thoughts as the moment unfolds. I love gushing about our OCs—making playlists, mood boards, collecting art, building entire atmospheres around them. Give me all of it.As for NSFW content, I do prefer to write it out rather than fade to black, though I’m comfortable with either depending on my partner. I lean toward romantic, story-driven intimacy—those moments that feel earned after all the tension and build-up. My stories aren’t ERP-based and likely never will be. I adore slow burns, enemies to lovers, and dynamics where the relationship builds—sometimes messily, sometimes painfully—before anything physical ever happens.Availability :I work about 40 hours a week in an office, with some weekend work depending on the time of month. I’m an accountant, so month-end and the beginning of the month tend to be my busiest times—during those periods, I may be a bit quieter while I focus on work. That said, I usually respond at least once a day, and often more if I’m really excited about a story. During the middle of the month, I’m generally more available for OOC chatting throughout the day. Occasionally, if things are slow at work, I might even sneak in a reply—it just depends on how chaotic things are. What I am looking for :I prefer to write with other women—no offense to the lovely men out there, but my style of soft, emotional, sometimes slightly unhinged romance tends to click best with other girlies.I’m more than happy to double, with both of us playing male and female characters—very much a “you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours” kind of dynamic.More than anything, I’m looking for a partner who can match my level of detail and enthusiasm. I don’t want to feel like I’m carrying a story alone—I want something collaborative, where we’re both bringing ideas, conflict, and depth to the table. I love introducing new plotlines, twists, and complications, especially the kind that test our characters and push their relationships in interesting (and sometimes a little painful) directions. At the end of the day, I want this to feel like something we’re building together!
